Another favourite run in Cayoosh pass! Rohr ridge is right by the highway and easy to access. The parking is on the other side of a sand shed. Please do not park on the sand shed side because you may block prows and other working cars and machines. Those crew keeps the highway and our parking spots open!!

It has been at least 2 years since I went to this area last time. I did not remember the best way up the ridge. After passing a broken camper, we just turned left towards uphill. However, it was a mistake… trees in this area were really dense with some alders blocking our way.

As we gained elevation, trees got bigger and well spaced. It made our trip really easy. Then, an up track merged us from our right, and we found a pink tape along the up track. It seemed there was a proper up track route to gain the ridge. I have to find it next time.

At 13:30, we came to treeline around 1900m. It was foggy and we could not see the terrain well, so we decided to go down. We were at the top of Rocky Horror Powder Show.

I wanted to take photos on the way down, so we waited a little hoping it is going to be clear. We started our descent after 14:00. It unfortunately did not become clear.

Weather did not help us getting a better shot, but it sure helped us having a good time!!

Snow got heavier at the lower elevation, but it was still forgiving quality.

As we skied down, I wanted to explore the terrains in the area. We got too close to a cliff band at 1650m. We ventured too far right and got stuck above a cliff. We struggled our way down between rocks, but we made it safe.

It is probably better to stay on fall line and ski into a tree run at the lower portion of this route.
