Hanging lake is definitely my favourite place to tour. As I live in Squamish, It has one of the highest starting elevation within one hour driving. The touring to Hanging lake starts on steep uphill trail. That means we can ski down to parking and does not have to walk back to our car. If you start from Alexander Falls parking, you might have to walk a bit.
It was snowing heavily on this day, and temperature was high that made snow melt as soon as it got on us. Skiing above 1400m, however, was phenomenal.
It was wet coast condition and I love it. The more snow we have, the better our life gets. The simple landscape of snowy winter mountains is definitely my favourite.
We were going to have another lap, but we rode back to the parking because we really got wet.
As we came back to Alexander Falls parking, a sedan was stuck on snow trying to park. Make sure you have good winter tires and higher clearance.
