This trip was my very first day in Rogers pass. Rogers pass is a mountain highway between Revelstoke and Golden in BC, where the road elevation goes up to 1300m. It is one of the best backcountry touring destinations in Canada.

We started our hike at 7:35. There were 5 more cars before us at Asulkan parking. Our object was to ski and take photos at Avalanche Crest #2. It is a long open west facing slope straight down to highway, which we saw when we started from the parking.

Once we gained onto crest top, the view was amazing. We could see many mountains and ski lines around us.

We arrived at the entrance of Avalanche Crest #2 by 11:50. We waited for the sun to come out, so we could have better photos. Snow condition was really stable on this day, so we could ski many steep features on the face.

We stopped on some spots to take photos. It would be faster way down if we just rode the face. It was an excellent day at Rogers pass.
