I went to backcountry skiing at Marriott basin.
We started hiking up at 8:30am from highway. It was cloudy and not snowing. We did not expect good condition due to warmer temperature and sunny days from some days ago.
It started snowing around 9:30am, and new snow depth was already about 10cm at 1600m. We came to the top of our run at 11:15am.
We planned to ski at least 3 runs, since we started early, but an accident happened on our first run. The snow was too good to hold ourselves back… We went a little too excited, and one of us hits his leg against a small tree. It was not a serious injury, but we decided to head down.
We came back to our car by 1:25pm.
