This is a part of my two-week climbing trip. You can find other blog posts from this trip.

On day2, Naoyuki’s friends showed us some of the best boulders in boulderfields. We headed down low from parking lot, and started with some easy problems.
I wish I remember the names of area and problems, but I do not remember them. Here are the photos from the first area.

After warm up climbs, we moved to a V6 problem. It starts low on a big boulder, and the line goes up with crimps and sidepulls. We could not climb it, but it was very fun to try.
Then, we went to Double Decker Dyno – V3. It is a simple one move problem. A big dyno move from a jug gets you up on top of the boulder. You almost let your both hands go to reach the top. This is really fun. This is something you try with lots of friends, so you feel safe letting go of your hands.

The holds you use on this problem are all jug! But super sharp! If you can believe that you are going to hold it after dyno, you can do it!! It is a jug!!
Then, we went to try Guardian – V8 in Cave Dweller area. A photo of this problem is a topo book cover. We could not send it, but super fun! A few other problems near this boulder were also high quality.

There are so many boulders in Boulderfields. I will visit there for sure. Next time, I will buy a topo book!

On the way out from Boulderfields, we stopped at “It’s a Bakery“. This is on the way to Kelowna downtown. It is at a roundabout on Lakeshore RD. Their baking goods and coffee will heal your body quick!
