I went for two nights trip to Keith’s Hut in Duffy lake area on February 22-24 in 2014. This is famous for epic skiing in winter. It gets really crowed on weekends, so make sure you plan it well!
This hut is managed by users, so cleanliness is all up to us. Fire wood is provided by a group of volunteers who keep the hut on going. Hut fee is corrected in a donation box, which is located by the entrance door. The donation is used for Fire wood transportation, hut upgrade, hut maintenance and etc…
We were so lucky that there were only three of us in the hut last 2 days.
It was snowing last two days, so skiing was awesome in trees. It was the best condition of the season.
We skied all day on day 2 in trees.
When we came back to the hut, however, Jundai spotted a huge cliff and decided to hit.
This cliff is right in front of the hut. I couldn’t imagine a telemark skier can hit that big cliff.
He came out of snow clean after landing. I was so toked to capture his jump!!
