As a photographer, I always look for a spot to take photos of skiing/snowboarding. The places I look for are slopes with good light and beautiful surroundings.
This top photo is at south side of Milly Goat traverse, where not ideal for actual skiing. The slope is not long. You can probably make just one turn, but that is good enough. The light was beautiful and I wanted to capture this light with a skier.

This is the result, and it is beautiful.
I always imagine myself or someone in the spot, and if the imagination is cool or beautiful, I am going to make it happen; take a photo!

This was my first visit to Kicking Horse resort. The sun travels low in the sky in January. Most of inbound areas were in shade, so we decided to take photos on south side of the resort, which is out of bound.
These photos may look taken in the morning or evening, but all between 11:40 to 14:40. Here are the photos from the day!!
Snow was not deep on this side of mountain in many spots, but we still found many lines with enough snow!

It was a cold day.
