We were a little too late to enjoy winter in Yukon. Well, White Pass is actually in BC. I would categorize, however, as in Yukon because the access is from Whitehorse, Yukon(or Skagway, AK).

Daytime in White pass in May is really long. The sky turns red around 4:00.
We started early, so we can ski before snow gets too slushy to ski. Skinning up was easier on icy snow than soft slushy snow, because we sunk down to our knees when it gets soft.
Our object for this day was the north face of Mt. Cleveland SE. It took us about 2 two hours to get to the bottom of the face.

Beautiful sunrise at 6:13

6:50 at the bottom of SE peak
skiers going up east ridge at 7:30
I stay on the other side to take photos. It was scary to find animal steps when I was away from my buddies. They had 2 runs in the face. One from east ridge and another from the skier’s left of SE peak on glacier.

Jundai Nakashio on east ridge

After they skied 2 runs each, it was 11:20. Snow was turning slushy already, so we decided to head down to the parking.
Snow condition changes so quick. It is probably because of longer daylight. Temperature is warm in May and the sun light affects snow from 6:00 to almost to 22:00. So our skiing was only limited to before noon, but it was still a long day as we woke up around 4:00am.
